School uniforms are becoming popular, in public schools, throughout the nation. All public school systems would greatly improve if they made uniforms part of their policy. When trying to make a change people opposing it is always a big factor to consider. The positive effects would definitely outweigh the negative if schools made it policy to wear uniforms. School uniforms should be required in public schools because it is a proven fact education would improve, there would be less violence and it would save parents money.
             School uniforms being required in public schools would improve education. A dress code would enforce discipline towards learning. Uniforms improve a student's view toward success. Most of the time, students act the way they are dressed. The less distractions the more students will see the school as a workplace for learning. Students will also have less to worry about because everyone would be dressed the same. There would not be "fashion." Dress codes lead to better grades, mainly because a student's attendance improves. There is also a change in grades because it is easier to focus when everyone is dressed the same.
             Another reason school uniforms should be required in public schools is because there is less violence when uniforms are worn. Students are less likely to be distracted from their studies due to less peer pressure. Everyone would be equal. There would not be as many weapons if uniforms were required as weapons are harder to conceal. This would bring a change for the better. The violence in public schools would drop.
             Cost is another reason that school uniforms should be required in public schools. People complain that this policy it too expensive. Uniforms are actually cheaper.
