Mr. Utterson finds this as a very strange decision for Dr. Jekyll, so he decides to visit a good friend of Jekyll, Mr. Lanyon. This idea fails after discovering that Lanyon and Jekyll haven't been friends for quite some time after an argument they had over an experiment.
