More than What Meets the Eye

             When walking into a classroom for the first time, there is always that moment of discomfort. There is a chance that there will be no common ground between you and the person next to you, simply because you are your own individual. Although every person in the class holds to believe that they are unique in their own way, a common bond exists between us all.
             Chapman University attracts many students to the campus through all of the opportunities and support that it offers its students. Along with being one of the best private schools in the country, the campus itself is stunning. The majority of people in this class came to Chapman University because of the scholarships they were offered, or because the particular field that they sought to major in was one of the best in the region. On this campus they offer so many classes that will help mold us
             into the individual global citizen we were all destined to be.
             Along with Chapman's beautiful buildings where students sit and learn, we have the dormitories. For the most part, the students that reside in the dorms are from out of the area. However, there are those few who live in the direct area that choose to live in the dorms so they will have a chance to meet more people. Approximately 17 people in the class live in the dorms. It is interesting to see how well adjusted they all are. With many students that choose to live in the dorms, you can see that they know many people and are very aware of what's going on in their campus community. We have approximately four commuters, and of the four one is in a sorority and the others are involved either in their departments or with some student organization.
             Twelve people enlisted in this course are involved in some type of an "arts" program. For instance, we have dance majors, vocal performance majors, theatre majors, music education, film, and music therapy. Be
