Federal Penitentiary, Um, I Mean Express
             Do you want to work for a major international package courier service? Federal Express is one of the companies leading this multi-million dollar industry. There are plenty of reasons to strive for a job with this ever-growing corporation. As a result, it is fairly difficult to obtain a job as a driver for FedEx. The pay is good, the benefits are great, and the job security is there. For those reasons, they are often considered one of the more viable options for jobs in today's labor workforce. However, my work experience with them was entirely dreadful. Long workdays, brutally physical work, and horrible working conditions, made driving a truck for Federal Express the worst job I ever had.
             Without a doubt, FedEx is the reigning king in the long workday arena. If you are looking to work eight hours a day and five days a week, you may want to apply elsewhere. For a little more than a year, I reported to the Pueblo terminal Monday through Friday at a quarter to six in the morning. From there I unloaded a semi-truck trailer and loaded my assigned delivery truck for a good two hours. Since almost every day involved well over one hundred delivery stops, the days dragged on almost every night until six or seven o'clock p.m.; on a good day. Bad days however, could very easily last well into the nine o'clock hour. Those bad days usually involved misrouted packages, packages falling from the shelves and getting out of order, and angry customers. All three of these negatives caused me more and more unnecessary physical work.
             In addition to the long workdays, the labor portion of this job could possibly fall under the heading of cruel and unusual punishment.
