Engineers and Researchers have to different jobs. These two professions may go hand in hand but they are different. Each has their own jobs to do and it would be hard to get on without the other. Researchers look up what the problem is for instance how do we get a mars rover on Mars? They researchers do thinking the engineers do the dirty work. They take the researchers research and use it to solve the problems. Another example is the H20 car. The researchers want to make a more economy safe vehicle so they try to find a more economy safe fuel source. They tell the engineers what the fuel source will be and they see what they have to do to make the car. So overall the researchers do the studying on the problem while the engineers work it out.
The video helped me see into the world of engineers. I saw the difference between mechanical and electrical engineers. Both work out different problem. There are many types of engineers and each does their own job. I also saw how much teamwork the engineering job has. Engineers hardly work alone they work in groups of threes or fours. The consultants are also considered engineers. Engineering branches off into so many different fields. There's computer, chemical, electrical, mechanical, and consultants. Even after getting you B.S. in the subject you can go into other fields. To get some jobs you need you P.H.D. so its bets to get this after your B.S. The P.H.D. means you are experienced in your field and a lot of companies like that. With engineers you can go almost anywhere to working for NASA to owning your own consulting business. I learned engineering is more than making stuff there is a lot more to it. This video help me see into the world of engineering with each interview seeing different part of the engineering field.
