The Hobby Dress Code should be changed!
At Hobby were not allowed to wear certain things, including, sleeveless shirts, certain types of flip-flops, shorts and Capri's that aren't shorter than four inches above your knee. Also were not aloud to wear jackets around our waste. I think that is ridicules, it isn't like were hiding anything! But the most pathetic think is that we have to have our shirttails tucked in, just "so we look nicer" these rules should be changed.
I think that this is very unreasonable because SOME people don't have the $*$money$*$ to go out and buy clothes just for school. School is for education not for the way you dress! Then there is wearing sleeveless tops, I mean you are only revealing your shoulder, but if it starts to cause disruptions they can take that privilege away with a snap of a finger. I personally understand how us girls are and how we love to wear short shorts, but during the summer months it gets very, very hot and I think that they should let us wear shorts (to a reasonable length) when it starts to get hot in March, April, and May. They should give us one more chance for shorts. Also when students are hot it distracts them from concentrating! Now about flip-flops, there shoes, how much harm could they do, I mean they are on your feet. If we are comfortable in them then they should let us wear them. I think that these rules should be changed. Everyone has a different style and everyone wants to be different and not (kind of) be the same. I think we should have more freedom.
Because of these reasons, I think Hobby should give it a try and change there dress code, and we should be comfortable if were going to be at school for eight hours a day. Thank you for your time!
