The role of religion

             Religion is more than just a belief in a deity. It involves trusting in an unknowable essence, a creator. It requires faith. The first sign of faith is love, a love that is based on conscious knowledge and the practice of selfless behavior. The essence of faith is fewness of words and the abundance of deeds.
             When people do not need to worry about of their daily lives and have more spare time, they want to find a support or sustainment in their mind. Since our society is developing rapidly, this need becomes more and more remarkable. At the same time, all kinds of religions around the world are expanding, too. Somehow, these two gradually come to an agreement. The joining of the educated and the young even quicken the development of religion. The two events happen continuously and form a cycle.
             Majority of young followers believe that religion is divine of philosophy and a way of life and that it defines who you are, how you view the world around you and how you interact within it. Most of them are eager to gain the so-called identity and recognition, so they think religion is really important to them. However, we can also see the impact of religion in the society, not just in the community of young people. Not long ago in California Greg Stanczak, a doctoral candidate in sociology interviewed with a Buddhist nun and scribbled notes as the Man Yee mixed amusing stories of a former life as a hotshot real estate agent with descriptions of temple services for its members, most of them Chinese immigrants. Yee detailed how the temple did far more than bring Buddha's teaching to their people: It operated as a lifeboat for new immigrants, offering English classes and seminars in Chinese on U.S. tax laws and financial planning, dental care and menopause.
