During this war Hamilton got the reputation as a brave soldier, a talented writer, a gentleman, and a man with a solution to every problem and who wasn't afraid to express his views even if they clashed with the views of his superiors. These were major accomplishments considering Hamilton's young age but nevertheless these accomplishments were what launched his career in politics (anonymous, 3).
             Hamilton wanted to ratify a new constitution that was in favor of a stronger central government. He believed that the government should be involved in economic and military affairs and they should also be able to have power over the people (anonymous, Political Battles). Hamilton wanted to reform the Articles of Confederation because he felt it made the central government too weak.
