Amazon.com

             Amazon.com has always, had a full and outright commitment to the development of its business-to-customer website and they should, its there only venue for commerce. Since its launch in July of 1995, Amazon.com has had their eye on the Internet consumer, which is quite evident if you are to view their web page. In the next couple of pages I will tell you why I believe that this site is on of the best consumer websites on the Internet.
             My first outline for the website would have to be the context. With the Amazon web site they have done some really nice things, with functions and aesthetics. With the aesthetics, the site uses some pictures and some really nice pastel colors. The site is slightly more functionally dominant than aesthetically but well it should be, since it is a database for allocating and purchasing texts.
             From there we move to content, with content there are two sectors the features and the classification. As far as the features go, Amazon strongly uses an Offering mix, with its main focus on product but it also features some information. On the classification side of things, its evident that Amazon is product-dominant with its main focus on category killing, with its sale of only books.
             Customization is a large part of the configuration of a website. Amazon tailors its own website, (unlike some other websites that allows the user to customize the site) by filtering out customers purchases and preferences. Now, for the customization classification, Amazon is a highly customized site, they use quite a few different features to allow for tailoring by the customer, including its product recommendations for its members.
             As far as communication goes, you would think that Amazon would be a unilateral communicator, but in all actuality they practice Interactive communication. As I said before they truly do listen to their customers input, and try to tailor their site to it. If you have to class
