             sence. There was no solemn assembly for debate nor dignity of the
             conch." Raplh was the only civilized one left with his long blond
             shaggy hair that once was fine. He had been the leader. Now he was the
             one who run from the savage boys lead by Jack. Raplh is a leader.
             Why is Raplh a leader? Well, it's simple. He organized the
             assembly, build the shelters. He knew they needed a fire for a smoke
             singal to be resuced and he had the conch. He had the conch to call
             the boys to the assemblies. He also used the conch to speak. " I'll
             give the conch to the next person to speak. He can hold it when he's
             speaking.....and he wouldn't be interrupted. Expect by me." The conch
             represents civilization. The fire was used for a smoke singal. The fire
             represents hope. That's why Raplh is a leader.
             The conch, the huts, Piggy's specs, the fire, and the
             assemblies. These objects help show Raplh's priorities. His first
             priority was to get everyone do together, to see how many of them
             there was. That's where the conch comes in. Ralph's second priority was
             to make a fire. A fire for a smoke singal for they could be resuced as
             soon as possible. That is where Piggy's specs are used. Raplh's third
             priority was to build shelters. If there was another storm they'd be
             ready. The assemblies play into this because, everyone said what should
             be done. But, Raplh the one who carried everything out.
             Raplh's priorties effect on the society was positive but, then it
             turned negative. As other's began to hate him. Because, he wouldn't let
             them have fun. About the fire Jack said, "Raplh, I'll split up the
             choir-my hunters, that is-into groups and we'll be responsible for
