siah', Jesus replies, 'I am', 14:62. This is one of the rare cases in which the word Messiah is used in Mark's Gospel. I am quite surprised at this. Messiah and Christ are the most common names that I have addressed Jesus with throughout my life. This reveals that my understanding of Jesus has been quite limited in the past.
             A more significant name portrayed to Jesus is the title 'Son of God'. Some would assume that this title expresses Jesus' divinity, nevertheless, it is questionable because regular human kings were sometimes called God's son. Jesus uses this title in many ways that suggest divinity. In the parable of the tenants, 12:6, He is the beloved Son sent by the Father. In 13:32 He states, 'Of that day and hour no one knows not even the Son'. Additionally, the voice of God calls Him 'My beloved Son', both at His baptism 1:9; and at His transfiguration 9:7. Th
