Catholics

             As stated in The Washington Times newspaper, over two hundred active bishops are coming together to form a task force aiming its motives towards Catholic politicians. The task force will try to produce guidelines on how to deal with stubborn Catholic politicians who stray from Catholic teachings. The Catholic Church has the right to teach the ways of Jesus, however, the Church should not excommunicate nor ban a member, such as a politician who supports various opposing Catholic beliefs.
             The church should focus mainly on spiritual issues concerning the church. As a member of the Catholic Church, we believe in Jesus and the Church. We want follow in Jesus' footsteps and continue his journey. We look forward to being reunited and sharing everlasting happiness with Jesus. However, if someone decides not to follow a moral belief of the church, this should be their decision.
             The Catholic Church is threatening Catholic politicians. The Church stands firmly in their beliefs and makes known what is unacceptable through the Bishops. The Church has the right to sit down and discuss with a politician the issue at hand, if the politician agrees. They should not be forced. Afterwards, if the politician still holds his or her opposing view on the matter, they should not be punished. Catholic politicians make decisions they feel are in the best interests of the people. At times, this may mean going against a belief of the Catholic Church. If these decisions result in the Church excommunicating a member totally or banning a member from a sacrament, the Church is actually threatening members to fully agree with the Church or leave.
