I think Abortion should be legal under strict guidelines. I feel that abortion should be legal in some circumstances. If a woman has consensual unprotected sex, or otherwise, and becomes pregnant she should be responsible for her actions. Sex is such an open topic now a days that woman should know all the risks that sex involves. If the woman is not financially stable, feels the child will be an interruption, or just simply to young to take care of a child is no excuse to abort. There are many places or programs that are willing to help woman in that type of situation. The woman may be fortunate enough to have family members or close friends that offer a great deal of support. If these are not an option for her I believe adoption is the next best thing.
             There are millions of men and women that are unable to have children due to serious health risks. These families are left with no other option but to adopt. Women and men go through a lot of stress and pain for years trying to conceive. They often spend thousands of dollars for infertility drugs that just won't work for these men and women. One of my closest friends is going through this process now. She spends one thousand dollars for each infertility shot she has to give herself. She gives herself four shots a day. My friend has been trying to conceive for seven years. To see her struggle with this is very disappointing because she would make an excellent mother.
             I believe that abortion should be legal is a woman is raped or is a victim of incest. I feel that this is appropriate because this criminal act is not consensual and is out of the women's control. Being raped is mentally, emotionally, and physically stressful. These types of stress can be harmful for the unborn child and the mother. The mother may think that she is going to love the child no matter what but when she looks at the child she sees an act of violence.
