Raising kids has always been a hard task to do. Be it in the prehistoric days or now days, including every country and every state. But the hardest thing to do it to raise a teenager. They are always up to mischief or no good. They like things their way or no way. It's very common to find that kids and parents don't always get along, but one misunderstanding is that it is always the kids fault. Parents and teens have miscommunication all the time which leads to fighting and bickering. The teens get to a point where they feel as if they are mature enough to make there own decisions and parents don't want to let there "babies" go.
With out the need to say it there are many concerns when it comes to raising a teen. Sex, drugs, peer pressure, the list is endless. Drugs seem to be at an all time high when it comes to kids in high school. They're always around; even the closest of friends could be selling to make some extra cash. Then comes the topic of sex. Teens believe that they are old enough to make the right choice, they usually aren't thinking of the out come. They are interested in what its like and what the big hype about it is. Also television and movies do not help the fact that teens want to know what it is like.
A definite misconception is that parents will know how to be good parents when the child is born but this is 100% not true. A good question to ask is what makes a good parent. The answers to this are various, not many people agree on the same answer. To be a good parent is to love, respect, and show concern in your child's life, but that's not all. Each child is born with a different perspective on life and a different way he/she thinks of things. So overall to be a good parent is to fill your child's life with love, compassion, and a sense of well being, to show that life is a good thing and should be lived to the fullest.
