Violence

             Imagine being a teen having to deal with peer pressure and abuse every day at school. That's what most adolescents have to face regularly. Violence is practically everywhere these days. It's in our schools, our streets, sometimes even in our own homes. However, there are ways to prevent violence. By enforcing a few simple laws, we would be able to improve the world we live in today.
             One way to solve this issue is to educate children on violence and the problems it causes. If parents talk to children early on about violence, chances are they will not practice it. Adolescents learn to stay away from it. The best way to stop violence is to prevent it before it happens.
             Laws should be made more strict. This way, people will not be able to get away with violent acts. Such things happen every day, people commit crimes without getting proper punishments, and that must stop. This will also keep violent people off the streets.
             Make punishments tougher. People who are caught for doing brutal acts do not get serious punishments. That is another problem that must be corrected in order to stop violence. If punishments are made tougher, people will not want to go through the nuisance of jail time and fines.
             Make guns and other weapons not as readily available to children. A main cause for violence is weapons, firearms and knives. If young adults had no access to guns, tragedies such as in Columbine high school would not exist, there would be no incidents in which students or teachers are harmed/killed. Children would be able to learn in a safe environment where they can acquire the skills they need to become tomorrow's leaders.
             In conclusion, there are three main steps we must take in order to stop violence. We must make laws more strict, make punishments tougher and educate kids about violence. If we all follow my recommendations, we
