Lord of the Flies

             In a society of different cultures and divergent morals, human beings have to learn how to come together and work as a whole, rather than unitary. William Golding delineates this in the Lord of the Flies. In this story, there are multitudinous quantities of societies that represent the contraries of Ralph's and Jack's way of thinking. Throughout this story, the society of the island and the society of our everyday lives are brought together as one to emerge all of the evils that are going on in the societies all around us.
             In the Lord of the Flies, and in the real world, there are many prejudices that are floating around our societies. In societies of different racial backgrounds and contrastive childhood citations, many of us forget that we are all the same inside, as do the children in Lord of the Flies. The human race frequently tends to forget this and everything ends up in a fracas. Jack and Ralph are constantly at each others throat, trying to gain the mainstay and attention of the crowd. Piggy and Jack are always quarreling about how Jack is mean to Piggy and something that Piggy did wrong.

             In society today and in this book, there are many similarities and actions that relate to each other. People are constantly wanting to be the one in charge, and want to boss everyone else around. We, as people, just want to be heard and have a voice in society. Many times throughout the book, the leader figures are fighting over who gets to talk to the rest of the group. The leaders scuffle over who will get the conch and who will be able to speak first.
