             Romeo and Juliet is a play by Shakespeare. It was written about 400 years ago.
             The play is about "two star crossed lovers" one Romeo Montaque and the other Juliet Capulet .There is a problem with this their familles are rivals.
             Baz luthran made an adaptation of this play, he made it more up to date by using the following affects.
             Sounds and music, The sound and music creates great effects on important scenes such as the starting scene when the servants of Romeo meet up with the servants of Juliet . The music creates a tense environment by using the guitar the guitarist is plucking a cord repeatedly . Music is a great way to bring out different effects. The film was set in a city called Verona, you know it was set in the late 1990 because of the sky scrapers. When Romeo was banished from Verona to Mantna he stayed in a caravan park out in the desert this brought on the a brilliant effect of emptyness and space.
             The houses of the two families were well propped they gave the felling of wealth it also made me fell that the family must have great power.
             There also was a wide variety of costume used in the film especially in the ball room scene Juliet was dressed up as an angel it made her look innocent and Mercuito as a woman this was a good choice as Mercuito is a very sarcastic and lively character. He's also good with words , such as the time when Tyblot came looking for Romeo but instead he had a verbal fight with Mercutio, Tyblot said the word "consort" which has two meanings one being associated and the other a company of musicians so Mercutio picks up on this and deliberately mistakes Tybalt and starts to take the hand out of him. Tybolt is a very fierce character with a bad temper, he was known as "The prince of cats" because of his agile manner, and he would rather fight than let something pass such as the time when Romeo went to the Capulet ball Tybolt took this as a m
