Have you ever read a story about how someone had a close person in their life die? Didn't it make you sad? I know it makes me sad when I read stuff like that. I want this reading to be different. Although my story is about death, it is still somewhat sad, but I want to celebrate life rather than mourn death.
             My cousin Matthew was a typical high school stud. He always seemed to have a girl on each arm, he was captain of the football team, he loved his friends and his family and we all loved him. Of course he loved to go hunting, this is typical considering he lived in Graham, TX, where if you don't hunt you're about as out of place as a straight man at an Elton John concert. I just absolutely loved my cousin. He lived about four and a half hours from where I lived so when I got the chance to see him it was like the world stopped for me. We would go hang out at the local bowling alley or the deer lease. Sometimes, if I was lucky, we would go out to his ranch just outside the city limits and take the four wheelers out for a spin. This was my favorite thing to go do.
             I'll never forget the day that my dad, my sister, and I visited my grandmother, who also lived in Graham at the time. I payed a visit to Matt's house because he had promised me next time I came during deer hunting season he would take me out to the lease and we would go hunting. When I got to his house I was somewhat disappointed to see that he had some of his buddies there and they were talking about what they were going to do that night. I don't really remember exactly what it was they were thinking about doing. Probably some party that was going on. When I walked in though, I overheard him tell his friends, "Hey fellas, I promised Aron here that we would go hunting the next time he came up here." All of his friends knew who I was from me hanging around Matt so they weren't too upset about it. In fact, &qu...
