             What is more precious to most of us than careers, wealth or even friends? What is the thing that can help you enjoy your life to the fullest if you possessed or rob from you the simplest joys of life if you didn't?
             It was once said that good health is a precious crown worn only by healthy people but seen only by sick people. Many of us take good health for granted and may not appreciate it's importance till we lose it. But people who had a chronic disease would trade anything in their possession for good health.
             I am not an exercise or diet fanatic. I however, believe in common sense and moderation. Trendy diets, Lose weight as you sleep pills and surgical procedures like Lyposuctioning and stomach stapling are not the way to achieve a healthy life. It takes a long term, disciplined approach to achieve good health.
             The three pillars of good health in my opinion are as follows:
             Diet is by far the most important element in achieving good health. Food fuels our bodies just like gasoline fuels our vehicles. If we use bad fuel in our vehicles they might act sluggish and not perform to their fullest potential. Our bodies need the right kind of foods to keep them in top shape.
             We need carbohydrates to provide us with energy and fiber to help our digestive system maintain regularity. Calories from Carbs and fiber should account to 60% of our calorie intake.
             We need protein to help our bodies build tissue for growth and repair. Protein should account for 10% of our calorie intake.
             We also need, believe it or not, fat in our diet to keep our body functions working. Fat should account for 30% of our calorie intake. Unfortunately, almost 50% of the western diet calories come from fat.
             The number 2 factor in maintaining a healthy body is exercise. Food adds calories and weight to our bodies while exercise & activity burn calories thus reducing weight. Using simple math , if you burn more calories than
