Freedom, Rights, and Gun Control

             Although gun control may help to keep some citizens safe, nevertheless, the freedom and rights of the individuals would be violated because the right to bear arms is guaranteed in the Constitution. With restrictions on gun control, the gun laws will punish honest citizens, however; the criminals who will arm themselves anyways will not mind circumventing legislation. Also, guns protect the right and freedom of the individual. Finally gun doesn't kill people, people do. In the Constitution, the Second Amendments states: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." America must outline the idea of gun control in the United States around this Amendment, by considering both its consequences and its positive aspects.
             "Gun laws punish honest citizens, yet at the same time criminals will arm themselves with guns illegally anyway." (Site against gun control). Scandalous criminals intent on obtaining guns will find a way to circumvent legislation (Criminals have no problem in breaking the law). With tighter legislation, the citizens will only be hurt by the restrictions, and many may be finding themselves at the feet of criminals who obtained guns illegally. There have been instances over the years when a citizen of a different country would find him or herself in this situation, and they reported that they were indeed at the feet of the criminals, begging for mercy because they were defenseless.
