The title of the book, The Diary of a Young Girl relates to the plot of the book because the book is an actual account of Anne Frank's life throughout the Holocaust. It is also relating to the plot because these are Anne's own thoughts about what was happening in her surroundings, and how she felt about those things and others. The title of Anne Frank's work is significant because it foreshadows what the book focuses on. It is also significant because this is a real diary that she kept for a period of time during the war expressing what she feared, what she ambitioned, and what her many conflicts were.
             Anne Frank is the main character of this book. Anne is a thirteen-year-old Jewish girl who immigrated from Germany to Holland. Frank is a very energetic, outspoken, enthusiastic, and sometimes arrogant teenager who had a positive outlook on her life. Anne also speaks whatever comes to her mind without hesitation no matter what the situation at hand may be. Anne never let anyone lower her spirits throughout her tales in her diary.
             The central conflict in the book is that after the Holocaust has begun things are beginning to change for all Jewish people especially and Anne her family. This conflict caused the Frank family and others have to go into a secluded hiding-place known as the "Secret Annexe" to elude the Gestapo. After they've been there for a while they start to get tired of being around one another and each other's ways. Things also begin to worsen during this time and they become more frightened and intolerable toward each other. This conflict was never really resolved because the people who were hiding in the "Secret Annexe" were all detained in a concentration camp in the end, and some even became fatalities of the war, Anne was also one.
