What makes prom so special? Is it dressing up and riding in a fancy car? Maybe it's the food you eat that night. How about the dancing with your date while having a good time with your friends? Much preparation is put into this one night, but what makes it so different from any other date a high school student might go on?
             For prom Joe rents a tuxedo from Al's tuxedos. It's a double breasted, pinstriped black jacket with matching pinstriped pants. A white shirt with black pinstripes and cufflinks. It only cost him one hundred and fifty dollars to rent. Although, the shop didn't carry the lime green tie and handkerchief he requested to match his dates color scheme. Fortunately, for only seventy five dollars, J.C. Pennies had a sell on suit items. Granted if it wasn't for prom Joe might not have rented a tuxedo, more likely just found something out of his closet . He maybe would have gone to the mall and purchased a new shirt and pair of pants. Same price range, but He doesn't have to return the clothes two days later.
             Joe is all dressed up, but what about the transportation? For only five hundred bucks, Joe has rented a stretch black limo to drive him and his date around for eight hours. It has leather seats, bar, t.v., and enough seating for ten people. If not for prom, he would have taken the family mini van for only twenty bucks worth of gas put in the tank. He considered taking the van but concluded it would be embarrassing for him and his date to pull up to prom sporting the faded baby blue van with rust spots around the wheels.
             Being this is a special date, and his parents are letting him use their credit card, he takes her to Red Lobster. This is a step up from his usual Saturday night date which would warrant any fast food establishment. Depending on if he could afford it, he might prompt himself to a nicer restaurant such as Denny's or IHOP, anywhere from ten to twen...
