             Plato had a very different view of how a society should be managed. From what I have learned Plato would not agree in the form of government in which we participate. Plato was an avid believer in the republic system, and as for democracy he judged it better only than tyranny. The reason being that, in a republic you have the intelligent populous rule the country because they are the educated, and in Plato's mind the only one fit to rule over anything. Plato's thoughts on democracy state that the common citizen is given too many freedoms and the leaders of the nations are just the winners of a popularity contest. In short the common person is not capable to choose who should rule on their behave, simply cause the common person is just not educated enough to make such decisions. If Plato was here today I think that he would point out how the one who run this country are not necessarily the most educated but either the richest or the most media friendly. Our government is run by a bunch of money driven people whose agenda may or may not include the welfare of the nation. Plato also said that the democracy would have a failing school system. I personally do not see our educational system as a failure but I can see how our government can for the most part be oblivious to the particulars in the education system, and let some schools slip through the cracks of political press.
             I also believe that Plato would see aspects of an oligarchy, because of the fact that our leaders are rich. Because you are rich that doesn't make you a leader. I agree with him in that here in the United States the rich and popular are not definitely meant to rule there are more aspects that rule who should lead like education.
