"A Day in the Life of a Slacker College Freshman"
Hitting the snooze button, yet another time that Monday morning, Katie finally rolls over realizing it's 10:33. "Oh well, I missed another 8:00 Religion class," she says. There are six miss days allowed in the semester and Katie isn't willing to waste any.
She slowly climbs out of bed and gathers her things for a shower. Without thinking about the time, Katie gets out of the shower and finishes getting ready. At 12:10, she eventually looks at the clock, as she begins to gather her materials for her 12:30 class. Tripping over shoes and flipping through papers, Katie hurriedly attempts to find her Algebra homework through her unbearably messy room. After locating it under a pizza box from the night before, she heads off to class, the first class that she actually manages to attend for the day.
Arriving only thirty seconds before Professor Johnson closes the door, Katie enters the room and finds the last vacant seat. She takes out her half-completed homework and waits for the professor to go over it. While her classmates' begin asking questions, Katie starts doodling on her paper. While Professor Johnson announces the next test date, which only reminds Katie that she flunked the last one, she is counting down the minutes until class is dismissed.
Since Katie skipped breakfast once again and is nearly starving, she heads for the cafeteria. After finding a group of friends, she sits down, eats and socializes. After discussing their classes and assignments, Katie suddenly remembers that her English research paper is due in less than two hours. Thus, she quickly finishes eating and carries her tray to the drop-off and exits the cafeteria.
