             Beauty has always been part of our lives, and it influences a part of love. It's everywhere. But can it be the foundation to love? To many people love is "the greatest" thing earth has to offer, but is it really love when sometimes all we focus on is the way our "special someone" looks? Sometimes we find ourselves focusing more on the appearance of a person rather than what's on the inside. Phrases like "God, today is his off day," "Man he is hot," or even "He's so hot I can't breathe," just give away the fact that some people love looks more than they love personality. But then in other cases, phrases like "His personality makes him cute," or "If he was a jerk he would be ugly" contradict that fact. Now the question is which is the foundation to a stable relationship: physical beauty, or internal beauty?
             In movies like Shrek, and Shallow Hal, internal beauty is the most important aspect to love and relationships. In these movies appearance does not conquer personality. For example, in Shrek appearance did not matter because Shrek, the main character has already fallen madly in love with the Princesses' personality. In the ending their relationship ended in marriage. In other movies like The Sweetest Thing, and How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, personality plays a smaller role. Appearance becomes a large factor in the relationship. In How To Lose a Guy in ten Days a writer for a popular magazine is faced with the challenge of losing a guy in ten days. She meets this guy who is extremely handsome. She doesn't realize that because of his appearance she is falling in love. In the end she finds that she can't lose him in ten days because she is madly in love.
