Over the past 20+ years there have been many fast ATVs, and for me I could never go fast enough. I have owned several four wheelers over the past few years. One being a Polaris automatic 2-stroke 400cc 4 by 4. This was a very light, nimble and quick accelerating ATV, at least for what it was. Well, this big utility, 4 by 4 was just not my style especially since it was automatic. We eventually got rid of it after flipping it end for end several times and being slowed down by the low gearing, heavy weight and modest factory porting of the motor. My next machine was the beginning of a more exciting ride for me. I wanted a racer now, I haven't had an ATV now for about a year and I wanted a racing style ATV, specifically a two stroke 5 speed 2 wheel drive Suzuki. So I looked and asked around for a while and finally found one that had a seized motor and had been sitting in a backyard for 3 months. I bought that on the spot, brought it home and ripped it apart. I had just purchased a motor from a friend that would provide plenty of torque to go fast, especially in a straight line. It was a 4 cylinder 550 gs550 Suzuki air-cooled street bike motor....a legend was born and my view toward wheelers was changed forever.
             Now, believe it or not I have been through several motors, because I ride very hard. Don't get me wrong I change the oil and everything, I just like wide open throttle, al the time, and some....most motors don't like that. the 550 developed cam chain rattle because the tensioner was shot, and my second motor a Suzuki katana 600, well, I didn't design the frame right, it rode too low, and I hit the base of the motor off a rock, and it drained its oil out while I was riding it and it threw a bearing. And the third motor...a Honda cr500 dirt bike motor.
