On a night such as this where the rain is falling down, and the clouds are thundering, where my world comes to a sudden halt, and I lose the greatest person in my life. I feel the pain everyday and it gets worse. I try to shy away from the moment by giving a smile, but it never leaves my mind. It all happen so fast, im still confused to this day, it was so random ,but all Im left is with a blank stare. It was like yesterday, but now its already been close to a year.
I woke up in the morning at 7:50 something complaining about my sore throat, walking to the living room I see my mother sleeping on the couch, I wake her up. She usually gets angry if you wake her up, but she was really calm and asked me what was wrong? I asked her if she could drive me to the store for some throat spray (Chloroseptic)? She got up and got dressed and we were off. She turned the radio on to 96.1 her favorite radio station. It was playing If I saw you in heaven by Eric Clapton, when we got to the store the song had just ended. I got out the car went into the store they didn't have the good spray, so I got the generic brand. I was in there forever, Came out and she pulled to the front of the store and I got in, She wasn't mad like she usually is when you take forever to get something. She said "awe bubba you got the wrong kind," I told her "its going to work fine," she said "well you can go back in," I said "its fine it will work and plus they don't have the Vick's," then she said well its your sore throat I got to hear about," and then she drove off, humming the melody to The Eric Clapton song. Who would have thought that would have been my last ride with her. When we got home she beat me to the computer, reading her news, she really liked murder mystery's and loved to look up old famous actors and actresses.
