Thesis: The common misconception is that raves are trouble, but in fact, they do often have charities and also promote good morals.
             Raves now days are nothing but trouble waiting to happen. It is not an unusual thing for a party (rave) to get raided by the cops, DEA, or numerous other agencies. I use to be a pretty big raver. One of the raves I remember in particular was raided in Nashville about a year ago at a place called the Eigth Day. The DEA and FBI threw a party and set up hidden cameras all over the venue and by about two O'clock AM they rushed in from all directions and contained everyone that was there. Then as we walked out everyone had to show them their ID and stand in front of a camera and say their name, address, age, phone number, and social security number. My friends and I did not get into any trouble because we did not have anything to do with any illegal substances, but it was still a shame they had to shut down the party.
             About two years ago the scene was nothing like what it is today, the scene then was not smothered in designer drugs like ecstasy, special k, lsd, and many other corrupt substances that may have been put out by the CIA and other government agencies to help fund there operations. Ever since the cold war ended their funds have been very limited, so they had to come out with their own method of making money to continue funding their projects. There is a large amount of non-government operations who make and sell these drugs at parties, but many of the drugs there could have been started by the government or other large corporations just trying to make money.
             The last big party I went to was in Atlanta and it ended up getting closed down early because nine people overdosed on some kind of drugs.
