To excommunicate a person from society because they take something so "sacred" like human sexuality and use to sell there products just goes to show how much of a hypocritical society we live in. Most of the criticism is by those who consider themselves "morally enlightened." These ethical intellectuals base their moral boundaries around their faith or affiliated church. To me, there is not a large disparity in the methods used to attract. One uses sexual promise, the other the fear of damnation. Both should be recognized as sacred, yet for some reason the exploitation of sexuality is considered taboo but to exploit the almighty one himself, well that thought never even crossed our mind did it? Are we that engulfed by moral propaganda that we become blinded by what we are told is moral or ethical? Is it possible that we sit here and believe that human programming died with Hitler?
One of man's oldest professions is that of prostitution. That should be an eye opener to all of us that all the sex we see in advertisement will not just go away or disappear. Nor will legislative law or candle light vigils outside your local church be able to control it. The only line of defense against this attack of provocative bombshells is not allowing the promotional influences of others to take control of the decision making process.
One of the most controversial fashion designers on the planet is Calvin Klein. His brow raising advertisements depicting America's youth in an asexual manner has done more then just raise brows, but also raises skepticism. The majority of his advertisements have males and females from the ages of fourteen through seventeen all wearing the same type of unisex clothing. Probably the most disturbing thing about his ads is that each "model" appears to be strung out or sickly.
