             Imagine having a photo shoot for one of the largest dance magazines in the United States. The headlines read, "Graduate from a top dance college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in performance." Do you see why I want to go to college? When high school seniors start looking at colleges there are particular aspects tat each senior takes into consideration when choosing a college. As a senior I am interested in colleges that have fun and exciting residence life, a good dance program with a specific technique offered and, and a dance degree that gives me the opportunity to get a spectacular job in the dance field.
             University of South Florida, which is located in Tampa, Florida, is a college that as an in-state student you have the opportunity to live at, live in your own apartment or you can live on campus in one of the halls. You can chose from Argos, Andros or the Village. (Rothman, 10) Argos has a community bathroom, Andros is suits for eight people, and the Village, which is an upperclassman apartment complex on campus.
             University of South Florida is a college of Fine Arts. When you get your undergraduate degree from USF you will have a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in dance. You are not specifically mastered in one particular technique, such as other colleges, but you have more of a well-rounded knowledge in all areas of the arts. This can help you for future employment because you will know many aspects of the stage life rather than just a few. Graduates from the dance department are qualified for jobs such as "performers, costume designers, choreographers, and backstage hands." (Rothman, 12)
             USF has approximately four shows per year, which are faculty choreographed and a minimum of two shows per year that are student choreographed.
