Prejudice, irrational intolerance of or hostility towards members of a certain
             race, religion, or group. So does that mean that everyone is subject to some type of
             prejudice actions or opinion? It seems that prejudice, also called being bias, is
             not instilled in someone by themselves. Prejudice is more than just race,
             ethnicity, and religion. Groups are outcasted because of their sex, age, sexual
             preference, language, occupation, education level, economic class, physical
             handicaps, disformaties, and mental handicaps. Bias information is being taught
             by parents, history, and just pain society. But every person has a different way of
             acting on their prejudice. It just helps with a poor self image to restore their
             feelings of worthlessness by comparing themselves with "inferiors", says Dr.
             Children are so subjective at their young age they take in every word that is
             said around them. A young child just sitting around the dinner table may hear
             racial, ethnic, or any other type of slurs being said, jokingly by adults. Most young
             children learn they are a minority by the time they enter nursery school. By
             children noticing that everyone else is not from the same origin, they begin to
             classify others as part of their orientation. This leads to children committing hate
             crimes. An example is given by Dr. McDevitt in the article, As Bias Crime Seems
             to Rise Scientists Study Roots of Racism. Dr. McDevitt said, a 12 year-old black
             girl took a short cut from her school to a new convience store nearby. While
             walking there a group of young youths drove alongside and asked what she was
             doing in "their" neighborhood. They started taunting her, got out, pushed her
             down, kicked her and broke one of her ribs. This incident is a poor example of
             how the youths of the world are acting today.
