Geeks are generally social outcasts from mainstream America. The ranks of "geekdom" are swelled with science fictions fans, punks, perverts, programmers, nerds, and trekkies. These are people who did not go to their high school proms, and many would be offended by the suggestion that they should have even wanted to. Geeks prefer to socialize with other geeks, the self-proclaimed weird. Therefore they go online to organize parties, food runs, and movie nights, and be assured that their companions would rather talk about superheroes as modern mythology than the latest football scores.
Geeks have their own look, they are definitely non-conformists and do not consider what other people will think of them. Geeks are known for their pocket protectors lining their shirt pockets just in case a pen is to leak. Suspenders are most helpful to keep pants up as high as possible. Thick glasses with tape holding the center together, usually accompanied by a tasteless chain holding them onto his/her face. And plaid shirts. The typical geek has a high-pitched squeaky voice. A geek is the kid in school who drops all of his schoolbooks and is late to class because he had to pick them all up and no one would help him.
A geek is a person with no social skills, usually obsessed with science or technology. Despite the fact that most geeks are very intelligent, they usually have hesitation in talking to members of the opposite sex and most times are very apprehensive about it.
