My ancestors motives for coming to the United states was to start a better life.My mothers family is who I am going to be telling you about. They wanted to work and to raise there family here in the United States. My Grandmothers Grandfather came to the United States from Ireland because of the Potato Famine. The Potato Famine was a time where there was loss of food In Ireland. He was very young when he came to the United States It was the year of 1946. There was not many jobs In Ireland either so they came searching for work. My Great Great Grandma who would be my Grandmothers Great Grandma came from Germany to the United states. She dided young so we are not sure her reason for coming to america. My Grandfather Grandpa came From Hungary when he was ten years of age what meant it was the year 1910. He came with his aunt.
             My family name has importance because my ancestors lost our certificate with our original last name so they where given the name of the city they where from and made it our last name.
             The History of my last name is interesting, for example, my ancestors lost the rights to our original last name and when they arrived to Ellis Island in New York they were issued a new last name which was the city they were from. That is how Ittalian imigrants got there ethnic nickname w.o.p.s. Which stands for with out papers.
             I come from a long line of mechanics. My great great grandfather was a mechanic, his son, his son, and so on.
