The book I choose to read was Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo. This story took place in
1942 in a B-25 over the Japaneese city of Tokyo. The mood this book brought was
suspensful and couragous. There were many characters in the book but the main
character was captian Ted W. Lawson. He was the captian of the B-25 that flew over
Toyko. Ted Lawson started to fly when he was young and loved it. When he graduated
from highschool he went into the Army to fly. Before he flew the B-25 he flew a B-23,
There isn't much difference from the two planes . When the B-25 came out he was one of
the first pilots to fly the new aircraft. During the time from 1941-1943 Ted Lawson went
through a lot of growth. He went through a lot of mental growth because he was the
captian of a brand new B-25, he was married and also was
During 1942 Captian Ted Lawson had to take his crew on a bombing run over
Toyko. The reason for this bombing run was for payback for the bombing of Pearl Harbor
on December 7, 1941. When his crew was notified to leave the country they only had a
few hours for saying goodbye and they were not allowed to tell anyone what or where
they were going. They didn't even know where they were even going when they heard

and they weren't sure if the boat was part of the Japaneese Navy or not. When they
spoted the boat they decided to sink it as a precaution. After they sank the ship, they had
to leave because they were not sure if they had been spoted. When they left they were
200 miles short of the sopt where they were going to take off ********. Captian Lawson
and his crew and other crews tookoff on an aircraft carrier on April 18, 1942 they flew
for many hours in there B25's over open waters until they got to their bombing spot in
