Sexism

Sexism is rampant in television commercials. The television is the means of mass communication. As through visual points and just as much as vocal points of sexism can be brought across. The many forms of sexism are not completely visible to everyone's perception of sexism. Though a man may never see the picture illustrated for him as a form of sexism even though he could see the same commercial three hundred and sixty five days a year. The same can also be true for women. This has caused a serious debate about how society will be let to view ads on television. The fact is it has caused people to develop a stereotype for women as well as men. The problem of sexism comes from every which angle. The parents, friends, and in this case the producers of the commercials. Many companies don't have an objection to a producer's artistic view at the direction of their ad. Just as long as their point gets put across. The director will usually embellish some part of life, that's usually !
probably never going to happen, to catch your attention. With some kind of sexy character or a scene that portrays a never seen before occurrence. Their means however, isn't always ethical. An example of a stereotype is of a man driving a large pickup truck. Or women using skin lotion. But we all know that each sex use these items the same. In conclusion sexism produces basic visual pictures that are droned into our minds everyday. These ideas are not always true. Then there are some people that do model themselves after what they see on television. So now we hope that there is education for this ripple in the calm lake of society.
