It was the first day of my high school experience, and I had been in Switzerland with my grandparents for two weeks. Everyone had been to orientation, but I had missed it. I had no idea where any of my classes were. The day went on, but I didn't feel very comfortable. I went to my fourth period class, and there he was with his wonderful smile. This smile could turn any bad day around. As soon as I walked in the door he embraced me and said, " I have missed you so much." "Not as much as I missed you," I replied. I then found my seat and sat down to listen to the teacher. As she was explaining the rules of the class, I started thinking about how Michael and I met.
             Michael and I met the year before, during our eighth grade year. I had classes no one else was in. All my friends were together, but I was making the best of what situation I was in. My friends and I could only talk at lunch or when we saw each other in the halls. As the year went on, they would tell me of a new kid. "Have you seen the new guy?" was all I heard at lunch. Of course my first question was, " Is he cute?" "Yes and funny too," they told me. The anticipation of the new kid is always the best feeling. As the year went on I finally met Michael. I was walking down the hall one day with my friend, and we passed him. She introduced me to Michael. He had dark, coarse hair, and the best smile I had ever seen. It was not long after our introduction that we became friends. He started hanging out with all my friends and went to the movies with us every Friday night. He even started coming to all of our parties. Michael and I just clicked. It was as if I had kn!
