             The people of Paris were tired of war and in October of 1975 a great opportunity came his way. The people rose against the French legislative body, on which they blamed most of their troubles. Napoleon was appointed to end the rebellion so he ordered the rebels to be shot down in the street. The French legislative body was saved and a new kind of government was form. It was called the Directory. Napoleon was then made the commander of the army in Italy
