Lady Macbeth is obviously more guilty in the sense that she was the one who wanted him to kill Duncan. Both are steeped in the the murders, even though Macbeth killed Banquo and tried to kill Fleance, yet Lady M. has some what of more of a responsibility for the murders because she was the one who really started the whole idea that they should kill Duncan and try to make Macbeth king instead of Malcolm. Lady Macbeth thought that Macbeth dared to do it when it was a vague idea, but shrinks away from it now. I quote-
: : "What are you, a coward?" I played Lady Macbeth in a play, and she obviously seemed more guilty to me from her point of view. Plus, she asked the spirts to come and take away the softness of her heart. Macbeth was under a spell!
: : Lady Macbeth is guilty but what about those weird sister becuase if they did not give Macbeth the idea that he will be king then he would never have thought about it or dicussed it with Lady Macbeth.
Macbeth is definently more guilty than Lady Macbeth. This is obvious due to the fact that he imagined the witches to give him reason to kill Duncan and Banquo, and to make himself feel succure in what he was doing. Where Lady Macbeth was driven mad for her role in Duncan's murder, Macbeth only became more power hungry and greedy. Lady Macbeth never acually killed anyone. Macbeth is the true guilty party in the play.
