In 1997, dedicated phans from around the world traveled to the most northern tip of Maine, making the "Great Went" the largest city in Maine for the weekend.              Phans will usually be found at such events in their makeshift campsites. In Noblesville, Indiana, Phish has had a three-day run at the Deer Creek Amphitheater for the past few consecutive years. I had the opportunity to experience this event in 2000, and it was truly a unique experience. Thirty thousand phans gathered in makeshift campsites among the cornfields and in people's backyards, and for a twenty-dollar camping fee, you had entrance to the "Carnival of Phish."
