Where Does School End and Home Begin?
             It is unfair for teachers to issue homework to students. Homework is something most all
             students dread. It is also something students may feel teachers love to give. Though most
             teachers may think it is beneficial, it has many drawbacks. Students actually have legitimate
             reasons for disliking it the way they do.
             Many students participate in extracurricular activities. Most are encouraged to take part
             in these activities by members of the faculty. With school dismissing at 3 o' clock, that leaves
             approximately 5-6 hours of time left in the day for extracurricular activities, family and personal
             time, and time for the homework assigned that day. This can possibly make one's schedule very
             occupied and possibly stressful. To help prevent this unwanted stress, homework could be
             Certain teachers, however, feel that they need homework to help teach their subject. This
             of course would be in addition to the hour and a half they have of class time. This amount of
             time, if used wisely, should be more than enough time to teach one topic, without filling a
             student's mind with too much information too quickly. Also, teachers who issue homework may
             not be very sure that they have taught their subject well enough, and need the extra time. If class
             time was not wasted, and some educators were more confident that the students taught the
             material, then they would have no use for homework.
             In some cases, students may not have anyone at home to help them with homework they
             may not understand. This refers back to the teaching ability of the mentor. There could also be
             a misunderstanding about the assignment made. This could be due to miscommunication
             between student and teacher. No matter the cause, it is unjust administer homework to students
             who may not have a way of obtaining help.
