, lets discuss domestic terrorism within the United States.(Backgrounder) As we take a look at terrorism we will view from an American point of view.
             Historically, terrorism has been around since the organization of united countries. Not until lately has the term been used; as recently as the French Revolution. Domestic terrorism has been present in America since its inception.(Presley) Many people label Mormons as religious cult. It may be hard to decipher the difference between religion and a cult, but cults believe that their beliefs are the only sensible choice. They often act out of emotions, when they feel as if they are dealt with an injustice. In 1857 the Mormon community formed a rebellion against the United States over the passing of a law opposing polygamy. This is the practice of having or mating with more than one spouse.(Webster’s 613) The result of this reaction cost more than 100 Californian settlers their lives. Situations such as these have been handled differently by the government. In the case of the Mormon rebellion the government allowed this law to be over looked until the 1880’!
