This subject is very hard for me to rationalize on since getting my license, was a focal point in my growing years. I waited for the day that I turned 16 for so long, getting my permit on my birthday just as millions of other fresh 16 year olds do. To hear sad stories as these, of young teens throwing them self in early tombs, makes me very uneasy. Things just don't make sense, on my road test I was very frightened, but did everything just fine. I failed, and I failed 2 other times. As embarrassing as this is, and nobody knows but, see I am a good driver, I drive like a teenager at times but I do know when not to- I have never gotten into an accident, have swerved out of stupid driver numerous times. The question is my friend Ryan, who got his license on his first road test, definitely shouldn't have since he has gotten into numerous accidents resulting in lots of lost money. So is it really the age that makes the argument? I don't think so it's the way that the Department!
             of Motor Vehicles is testing these young teens. They should be testing for reaction time, coordination, and other more thought out testing strategies. They have been using the 5 min road test for so many years "this is the twenty- first century" so instead of punishing the children who have waited for that day all there life it's the begging of pure freedom.
             The tolerance although they say it's zero tolerance, its not. Lots of people get away with having alcohol on their breath and that makes people less frightened of breaking the law. I think that they should brethalize anybody that they stop, that way people won't do. Yes, some people may even get taken into the police station that just brushed their teeth but it would just be a part of reality, something that happens to everyone, just like getting stooped at a red light. I don't think that there should be any restrictions once you get your license....
