The ritual that I have chosen to write about is the process that I go through before I go to school in the morning. There is nothing strange about my ritual, except for the fact that I did the same thing the same way everyday I went to school. I had not changed a thing I did since I first started high school. That is except for one time and it resulted with me getting a ticket.
First of all, I wake up and turn the alarm clock off. Then, I roll over in my bed and just lie there until I am completely awake. Although I was able to brush my teeth and put deodorant on, I did not feel that I had enough time to shave and still arrive at school on time. I then threw on some clothes and headed out the door. When I got about halfway to my girlfriend's house, two flashing lights greeted me. I was ticketed for driving fifty in a thirty-five. Now I don't know if not completing my ritual was the cause of getting a ticket, but if I would had taken the extra five minutes to shave then the cop may not have been located where he was.
