Acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or AIDS, is a
recently recognized disease. It is caused by infection with
the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which attacks selected
cells in the IMMUNE SYSTEM and produces defects in function.
AIDS cases have also been reported in almost every country in
the world. Sub-Saharan Africa in particular appears to suffer
a heavy burden of this illness. Also from what I have read
women are more likely to suffer from this deadly disease. Why?
Because of the mistreatment that women still tend to receive
even after one hundred years later of fighting for some sort
The number of new cases of AIDS in women of reproductive
age is increasing at an alarming rate. AIDS has become the
leading cause of death for women between the ages of 20 and 40
in the major cities of North and South America, Western
Europe, and sub-Saharan Africa. By doing a little reasearch
of my own, I have realized that With women's desire to survive
in an environment where they are rarely employed in wage labor
or other "legitimate" jobs, they become prostitutes in order

when learning about this disease I have come to the conclusion
that women are the one's who are highly infected with this
I have come to the realization that it is not fair for
anyone to be infected by this diease, and I mean anyone when I
say it, but why should women have to fight such a tragedy
every day of their lives when we have been doing so for the
past one hundred years. It's just not fair anymore. When
