             Rap music is an outlet for many youth to escape the situations they are currently involved in, and to have a person who can relate to their issues and problems. "That's what rap is all about-being creative with words (Benesch, 1994)." As artists are able to express the reality and/or fiction of various situations through a creative directive the youth are more apt to listen and relate to those situations. By changing the lyrics of their music would the artist be subjecting their audience to a product unable to truly convey its original and intended message?
