Changes

             Through the course of a person's life, one experiences many changes that may influence them in a positive or a negative way. In my life I have experienced many changes. From moving into a new neighborhood, traveling to a different country, and most significantly the transition from high school to college. Although these changes are different, they pertain many similarities.
             June 24th 2003, it was a hot humid day and I was with two hundred people, all dressed in blue. Four years have passed by as quick as the blink of an eye. It was a very momentous occasion; graduation. We were all sad and happy as we were saying our goodbyes, but I had realized that this was a start of something new. Only one summer in between my new college experience and myself, I was nervous.
             High school was easy in my freshman and sophomore years, but as I became an upperclassman things became more challenging. By May 2002, it was the end of my junior year and with four regents and the SAT's, I was a little overwhelmed. I was up for the challenge and everyday I had been doing extra work to reassure that I would do well. The outcome of my term was good and I felt like I could accomplish anything.
             In my first semester of college I had to retain this mentality to do well again. The similarity in work had me Awestruck. Everyday I had to devote several hours to certain classes, but somehow it wasn't enough. The classes were too demanding and each professor wouldn't guide you like they had in high school. In my biology class I had remembered some of the information from high school, but it was more in depth. Although the studying patterns and some of the information was similar to what I did in high school, college was a lot harder.
             Moreover, one often has to adjust to new environments, whether there are similarities or differences. Adjusting to college for me was quite hard, but devotion and determination
