On a auspicious day about ten years ago my neighbors, my brother, and I agreed to go sledding. We went a couple times a week, nothing new happened except what would happen today. The place was Calvary Hill, which is about three blocks from our house.
Walking there took a while, especially going through a field that had two feet of snow in it. We got there, hiked to the top, and went down the main hill a couple of times, but it wasn't dangerous enough for thrill seeking kids. We headed to the trails in the woods on the top. These trails were the fastest and most dangerous, which meant they were the best. I was using my metal speed sled, it was fast but hard to turn. With a enormous thud I hit the tree, like being hit by Mike Tyson I was knocked out. I woke as my freinds were advacing down the hill, but I was in such pain i just lyed there and stared at the tree in awe that I hit it.
My brother pulled me home in his sled as I cryed the entire way. We got home and to my dissapointment my Mother wasn't home. As I sat and waited I try to take my jacket off, but the pain was so great that I couldn't move enough to take it off. After an hour she came home, crying I tryed described the situation.
Her words were,"How did you do this?"
As I sobed I said,"I hit the tree."
She tryed to take my jacket off to examine my arm but it hurt me too much, so she thought it was probly broken. We got in the car and headed off to the emergency room. I recall the smell as we entered the hospital. After a quik x-ray they found it was broken in two places. I dont remember anything untill I woke with the sensation of hard, itchy plaster covering my arm. I felt like a machine as I looked at the tw
