"Liberty Means Responsibility"
             "Liberty means responsibility," said George Bernard Shaw, explaining that it takes a responsible person to bring themselves or a group to freedom. Hazel of Watership Down led a whole group of rabbits away from danger and into freedom. Ms. Elizabeth Cady Stanton felt she had to take responsibility for all women in America to earn the right to vote, and as I grow up, I gain more freedom as well as more responsibilities. Thus, Hazel, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and I show that liberty means responsibility.
             In the book Watership Down, Hazel leads a large group to a new warren. It is one of happiness and harmony, one far away from the evil at Sandleford, their old warren. "There isn't any danger here at the moment, but it's coming..." (pg. 15) Fiver says to Hazel. Before they leave or even stir up a plan, this quote, from Hazel's brother, foreshadows the danger coming. Fiver also has a dream about the near future, 'but you said "The chief rabbit must go alone" and you floated down a long tunnel of water' (pg.17) This foreshadows Hazels success as a responsible leader. It shows he will head the new warren, and lead them through tough times to come, with little or no help. Hence the part 'the chief rabbit must go alone'. These quotes start the band of rabbits' entire journey to freedom. Fiver has a premonition of a terrible thing happening to their warren, and Hazel has enough trust in Fiver, and himself, to believe he would be able to accomplish such a task. Trust is a great leade!
