At the beginning of chapter 6, a parachute with a dead pilot floated to the island. The parachute was the sign from the grown-ups which Piggy and Ralph wanted badly. However, no one notices the parachute. Even the twins(Sam and Eric). When the twins awaken, they see the parachute and they think it as a beast from the air. They tell the other boys about the parachute with the dead pilot with giving them an exaggerated story of the beast who almost attacked them. The boys get frightened and they call an assembly. Ralph wants to go and get the beast and most of the boys follows him because, they are even more afraid to stay behind on the beach. The boys search on the other side of the island where they have never been before. When they reach the rocky side of the mountain where they all think the beast lives, all of the boys are afraid, but Ralph decides to search the rocky side of the mountain since no one will accompany him. However, he finds out that the place is not really a!
             fraid and soon, Jack comes after. When the other boys join Ralph and Jack, they all get very excited by their new discovery. The boys start to push rocks into the sea. Ralph gets angry to the boys including Jack because; they forget the purpose of searching island. Ralph reminds of the need for continuing to search for the beast. The boys like to stay on the castle rock and they make Ralph angrier. Ralph gets very angry and orders to them to move on. He also reminds them about the importance of the signal fire.
