Nations have specific reasons for entering wars. These war often have various results. In Southeast Asia there were many reasons that the participants entered the war. Along with those many reasons there were many different outcomes.
             The first reason for the conflict in Southeast Asia during 1945-1975 was the splitting of Korea into North Korea and South Korea. After the division United States and the Soviet Union had to come to an agreement for an election. But the two nations could not come up with an agreement, so North and South Korea split into two nations each with their own separate government claiming that they own all of Korea. All of this ended up in a war, which was called the Korean War.
             Another reason for the conflict was the beginning of the Vietnam war. The United States wanted to enter the war. So the United States claimed that they had been fired upon by a Vietnam destroyer. After that the United States entering the war creating major chaos in Southeast Asia. Now the U.S. is in the war which makes it kind of a one sided story from then on out.
             The U. S. continued to beat up North Vietnam until they figured out that they would have to kill every Vietnamese in order to get rid of the belief of freedom. Then the U.S. gave up even though they had won every battle in the war.
             One result of this conflict for the U.S. was the downgrading of the nation. The United States was down graded as a nation because they had lost a war to the Vietnamese and other countries thought that it was quite funny. So as a result, the U.S. had to do a lot of "butt kissing".
             One result of the conflict for the Vietnam were economic difficulties because the U.S. had destroyed much of their property and many peoples lives.
             Nations will continue to enter wars for different reasons and the outcomes will continue to be the same. Whether the wars be fought for independence or out of fury, every nation goes into a war to win.
